2015 was a good year for Nollywood no doubt, we saw lots of
great movies, and I mean the likes of Gbomo Gbomo Express, The Visit,
Dry, Taxi Driver and lots more. But I think you would agree with me
when I say 2016 is more promising for our precious New Nollywood, we are
still in February and 2016 has already seen great movies like
Suru’Lere, Fifty, Dairy of a Lagos Girl and Couple of Days.
So I made a list of Nollywood movies to watch out for in
2016 because there are going to be box office success. I know this,
don’t ask me how
1 Oxford Gardens
From
the man who brought us “last Flight to Abuja”, “Mirror Boy”, “Thy will
be done” is bringing you another movie to watch out for. The AMVCA
winner Obi Emelonye is set thrill fans with his Boxing themed movie
Oxford Gardens.

This is the most anticipated nollywood movie, everybody is
waiting for this one and it is going to be a box office success. From
the Ace Director and Producer Kunle Afolayan who has made his mark in
the industry with Nop Notch Nollywood Movies like Figurine, October 1, Phone Swap and others.

Plot
The CEO tells the story of TransWire Communications, a
global phone network with major operation in Nigeria. The CEO, an
expatriate, has retired hence the Global Chairman has decided to send
five nominees amongst his most senior level staff across Africa on a
Leadership course in order to determine which one to appoint as the new
CEO of Nigeria.
All five arrive from their respective destinations and
check into the beach resort where the course is holding. Although they
all appear cordial and chummy with each other, they all know what is at
stake – they each desperately want the CEO’s chair. And to this purpose,
they attempt to covertly outdo one another throughout the duration of
the course.
4 93 Days
93 Days is a movie every Nollywood lover should see. It
tells the story of the Ebola crisis, though an official release date is
yet to be announced. The film was inspired by late Adadevoh of First
Consultants Hospital in Lagos, her family and team involvement during
the Ebola crisis.
